Main Italian corn producer - La Sanfermese - obtains Friend of the Earth international sustainability certification

 

 

 

The Italian agro-industrial company La Sanfermese, located in Mantua, has recently obtained the Friend of the Earth certification for maize.

 

La Sanfermese specializes in supply chain management of numerous agricultural products, including corn, soybean and durum wheat. The company performs strict assessments of the inputs and outputs related to their crop cultivations. Specifically, La Sanfermese owns 50% of Corn valley, which mills the company’s corn and is also Friend of the Earth certified.

 

With more than 30 silos and dedicated warehouses, La Sanfermese has also implemented a cooling system for storage and a photovoltaic energy system.

 

“La Sanfermese has been offering high quality products thanks to a solid experience of eight generations and the most advanced technologies,” says Andrea Pelladoni, La Sanferemese’s Sales Manager. “This is why we have opted for the Friend of the Earth certification, which represents an advanced ecolabel to assess the sustainability of our products.”

La Sanfermese
La Sanfermese is an Italian agricultural company, located in Mantua, that has been producing agricultural products since 1974. The main products include corn, durum wheat and soybeans. Corn valley

Corn valley is an Italian corn wet mill, founded in 2000, that mills about 85.000 tons of grain per year. It produces hominy grits for corn flakes, maize cakes, gluten free ingredients and baby food. The company’s main mission is to produce high quality products, which are mainly sold in Europe.
